Financial Forensics and Investigations Group founder Christopher Lopp is a financial forensics expert who provides Litigation Support and Expert Witness Services, specializing in Business Valuations, Class Action Certification, Oil and Gas litigation, Commercial Damages and Lost Profits Calculations, Personal Injury and Wrongful Death Damages, Fair Value Measurement and Fraud Investigations.
Chris is currently the Chairperson of the Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants Business Valuation, Forensics, and Litigation Support Committee and serves on the national American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Accreditation in Business Valuation Credential Committee.
He has provided expert reports, consulted, and testified as an expert in deposition, trial including jury trials, and in administrative hearings, both at the State and Federal Court levels, and has been retained to perform numerous fraud investigations, damage calculations and business valuations.
He is a CPA / MBA with over 21 years of experience in financial management, strategic planning, business valuation, litigation support, and mergers and acquisitions transaction support and has previously served as the team leader for the Litigation Support practice of a large regional public accounting firm.
His prior experience also includes two Fortune 500 companies and a large privately-owned corporation as well as owning a local business which he grew and sold to a private equity group. This diverse experience has provided Chris the opportunity to serve as a CFO or financial advisor for a variety of businesses as they implemented their restructuring or growth plans or positioned themselves for acquisition or capital infusion.
Chris has extensive transactional experience with both large and small companies, both on the side of the seller and the buyer, successfully working to negotiate terms, structure deals, perform due diligence, and close deals for a variety of transactions.
Chris graduated from the University of Tulsa with a B.S.B.A. with a major in Accounting and a minor in Economics and a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance and has served as an adjunct faculty member in Tulsa’s School of Accounting and Computer Information Systems.
